Lovely hotel with a great view. Good location. Staff are wonderful and excellent food. A special thank you to the ever efficient and helpful ladies on Reception and the friendly well-trained waiting staff. We really wanted to stay longer. The only thing was the all essential fridge to keep drinks cool in the room never worked properly. We realise the mini bars were being discontinued but a keep cool is important.
Great location close to beach and to the cable car to go up to Taormina. There is also a small amount of parking at the front of the hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room very clean.
The breakfast was simple but pretty good overall (I didn't eat other meals at the hotel so can't comment on these).
The bar was good with a friendly barman and the rooftop pool was nice to cool off in.
There is also WIFI around reception area.
Frim but comfortable bed and the shower was fine.
The only very slight negative would be that the rooms and bathrooms feel/look a little dated.
I would stay again.
Beautiful traditional hotel, our room was on the top floor with amazing views and access to the rooftop solarium. Set table at breakfast and dinner so wondering around finding somewere to sit. Dinner served by the waiters wheeling a trolley to your table - loved it.
The hotel is located 2 min. from the sea and 2 min. from the Cable cars to centre of Taormina.

Apart from hotel pool located on the roof they also have a lido with pool and private beach ⛱️ including transport.
All the staff is very friendly and everyone speaks English.I would like to mention Kristina and Maria (the ladies from reception) they are very helpful and kind together with the "classic" bartender they are giving to the place the right atmosphere!

A very nice, small, quiet hotel. The rooms are quite small but clean and looked after. The staff were excellent and the food very nice, being waiter served.
I was supposed to stay at this hotel on July 19, but the Catania airport was ON FIRE so my flight was cancelled and I could not get there. They refuse to refund me even though this was totally out of my hands. They must be horrible people to make me pay for a vacation I never got to go on.
We had such a wonderful stay at Hotel Ipanema. Such a beautiful, traditional Sicilian style hotel with lovely and helpful staff. Stunning balcony and terrace views and absolutely perfect location right by the beach and the cable car to Taormina. Maria at reception was so accommodating and very happy to help. Delicious Sicilian food and outstanding service from Vincenzio and Mario. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend!
Wow..what a find! Beautiful charming hotel. Wonderful staff..they are so helpful and friendly. The hotel is spotlessly clean and really felt like a home from home. The location and views are amazing. I can honestly say it's the best holiday I've had in years...so much so we booked to come back before we even left 😁
